  • Daegwallyeong Museum is a municipal museum where one can interact with traditional culture and antique artwork. It is located at the entrance of Old Daegwallyeong Road, Seongsan-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. Daegwallyeong Museum's exterior is in harmony with the surrounding nature and displays artifacts of the culture and lives of our ancestors. Visitors can learn about the spirit and lifestyles of our forefathers.

  • Daegwallyeong Museum is uniquely shaped as it was designed based on the dolmen with the scenic beauty of Daegwallyeong as the backdrop. Daegwallyeong Museum has six rooms and you can see prehistoric artifacts, clay dolls and earthenware from the Silla Dynasty, artifacts from the Goryeo Dynasty such as Goryeo celadon, and white porcelain and folk paintings from the Joseon Dynasty.

  • Backhobang Room symbolizes the infinite universe and the round circle. Here are artifacts from the Joseon Dynasty related to religion, folklore, and the royal court. Hyunmoobang Room symbolizes the color black and the tortoise. On display are bronze artifacts from the Silla to Joseon Periods. There is also a Togibang Room that has stoneware and earthenware from the Stone Age and Silla Dyansty. Cheongnyong room symbolizes the color blue and the dragon, and has ceramics and pottery such as Goryeo celadon and white porcelain from the Joseun Dynasty. Wooribang Room also known as the Traditional Room, are household items from the Joseun Dynasty period and Daewongun's handwriting called "Manujeong". Jujakbang Room that symbolizes the phoenix and the color red, has the 15th century "Sulhwado Paiting", "Sansudo Paiting", folk paintings, ancient paintings, buddhism paitings, and palanquin from the Joseun Dynasty era.
