Introduction
This is the only exhibition hall in Korea where you can learn the importance of forest fire prevention for protecting our forests. It was established in the heart of the East Coast forest fire damage area, which lost 24,000 hectares in April 2000, to promote the importance of forests and protect our beautiful land from fires.
Tourist Guide
In September 2009, the center expanded with the Forest Fire Video Experience Hall. It screens 4D animations depicting the occurrence and extinguishing process of forest fires, allowing visitors to directly feel the seriousness of forest fire damage through virtual experiences.
Tourist Tips
The Forest Love Promotion Center reminds us that forests are precious resources providing clean water, fresh air, and a beautiful environment. Since most forest fires are caused by human error, this center was built in February 2006 to protect the nature achieved through hard work. The center consists of the Video Hall and Forest Ecology Hall on the 1st floor, and the Forest Fire Education Hall and Forest Recovery Hall on the 2nd floor, along with an annex for forest fire video experiences. Visitors can enjoy guided tours with forest commentators. The 1st-floor video hall shows a 7-minute video on fire causes and forest importance. The 2nd floor displays various firefighting tools, and the Education Hall features a virtual forest fire simulation. It is highly recommended for families to visit and rethink the value of our forests.
