- Travel Tips
- The name “Wolhwa Street” originates from the local legend of Mu-Wollang and Lady Yeonhwa, a tragic love story. A pavilion once stood on a rock at Yeonhwabong by the Namdaecheon Stream. It was named “Wolhwajeong Pavilion,” combining “Wol” from Mu-Wollang and “Hwa” from Lady Yeonhwa. The original pavilion was destroyed by a major flood in 1936, and a memorial stone now marks the site, along with a reconstructed pavilion nearby.
